Workday Functional Consultant — Remote / Dallas, Texas (Remote)

About This Role

Cendien is seeking a Workday Functional Consultant to lead configuration and deployment of Workday HCM, Compensation, Talent and Absence modules. You will partner with clients to gather requirements, configure business processes, and guide testing and change management across the full implementation lifecycle.

Responsibilities

• Lead requirements gathering and fit/gap analysis workshops with client stakeholders
• Configure Workday HCM, business processes, condition rules and security in alignment with design decisions
• Build and maintain functional specifications, configuration workbooks and test scenarios
• Guide clients through unit testing, user acceptance testing and change management
• Support data conversion, validation and tenant management activities
• Provide post-go-live hypercare support and iterative optimization recommendations

Requirements

• Workday HCM certification (or equivalent hands-on configuration experience)
• 3+ years configuring Workday HCM, Compensation, Talent, Time Tracking or Absence modules
• Strong understanding of HR processes and best practices across hire-to-retire
• Experience leading requirements workshops and design sessions with stakeholders
• Ability to translate business needs into functional designs and configuration
• Excellent communication, presentation and documentation skills
